At Keurbooms Ferries, we offer a range of scenic river tours that allow you to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Keurbooms River and its lush surroundings. Our tours are designed to cater to individuals, families, and groups, providing an unforgettable nature experience at affordable rates.

Boat Trip Prices:

Adults: 13 Years and Older - R600 pp

Children: 2 to 12 Years - R450 pp

Toddlers: 2 Years and under - Free

Nature Conservation fee: This cost must be paid when you arrive at the gate.

Nature Conservation:

The R65.00 Adults and Children up to 17 years R45.00 concession entrance fee for all who enter the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve. If you have a wild card, you can use this to gain entrance.

This cost must be paid when you arrive at the gate. This will grant you admission to the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve picnic and braai area for the entire day at the entrance. There's a wide grass area where you may play ball games with your kids, as well as braai, gazebo, and restroom facilities. It is possible to swim in the Keurbooms River thanks to the water frontage. So after an amazing ferry ride, unwind and take in the lovely surroundings for the remainder of the day.

Additional Information:

We have 2 scheduled trips a day in Winter months 11:00 and 14:00. (Weather Permitted)
In summertime we will add an extra trip in the afternoon at 17:00. (Weather Permitted)

Reservations are necessary. And all our trips are weather dependent.
The duration of each trip is 2 to 2.5 hours long.

We currently have 2 Ferries.

  2. 12 Person max

At the moment 1 Ferry is operating during winter months. (6 capacity max)
Both Ferries will be operational before season time.

After boarding the Keurbooms Ferries, we wind our way through the millennia-old gorge and ascend into the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve.

As we guide you through the fascinating history of this amazing place, unwind and enjoy.
We pause at a naturally created river beach after we’ve traveled 5 kilometers so you can take a closer look at the forest.

We might have a picnic, go swimming, or just unwind on the beach prior to our return to the civilization.

What to bring along:

Pack a light snack and cold beverage. –(Please note keep baskets small as possible when booking the small Ferry)
Swim wear
Ensure that all electronic equipment is safely contained in watertight containers.
Always bring a jacket
